An item reported that late 1955 the British Admiralty and the Pakistan Naval Headquarter started negotiations dealing with the replacement of ships becoming obsolete but still in service. Agreed was to sell the Battle-class destroyers HMS Gabbard (1) and Cadiz (2) and the CR-class destroyers Crispin (3) and Creole (4) and the Dido-class cruiser Diadem.(5)

3. R68/D68. C-class CR-subclasspreceded by W and Z-classes succeeded by Weapon-class, ex-Craccher, laid down by J. Samuel White, Cowes Wight with yard number 1931 on 1 February 1944, launched on 23 June 1945, commissioned on 10 July 1946, decommissioned on 18 March 1956 and on same date commissioned as PNS Jahangir in Pakistan Navy and scrapped in 1982.

Samuel White, Cowes, Wight on 3 August 1944, launched on 22 November 1945, commissioned on 14 October 1946, decommissioned in 1956, sold to Pakistan Navy on 29 February 1956, renamed PNS Alamgir, formally handed over in 1958 and broken up in 1982.
5. Part of Dido-class Bellona-subclass light cruisers preceded by Arethusa-class succeeded by Fiji-class, laid down by R.&W. Hawthorn, Leslie and Co. Ltd., Hebbun-on-Tyne on 15 December 1939, launched on 26 August 1942, completed on 6 January 1944, decommissioned in 1950 and part of reserve, sold to Pakistan Navy on 29 February 1956, renamed Babur, renamed Jahangir in 982 and broken up in 1985.
