British aircraft destoyed or damaged Italian warships at Tobruk, Libya according to the War Cabinet Weekly Résumé No. 45of the Naval, Military and Air Situation 4-12 July 1940

An item reported that the British Fleet Air Arm and the R.A.F. attacked Tobruk, Libya sinking the Italian destroyer Zeffiro (1) and damaging a second destroyer, 1 submarine and some merchant ships.

Note

1. Part of Turbine-class, preceded by Sauro-class succeeded by Navigatori-class, laid down by Ansaldo, Genoa on 29 April 1925, launched on 27 May 1927, completed on 15 May 1928 and destroyed on 5 July 1940.
