British destroyer HMS (intended King) Acasta 1911-1921

Part of K- or Acasta-class preceded by Acheron-class succeeded by L- or Laforey-class. The class numbered 20 ships, of 12 which built while using the common Admiralty-design and 8 so-called builders’specials. The Acasta-class was in September 1913 redesignated K-class. Built under the Naval Programme of 1911-1912. Admiralty K-class design. Original intended name King. Laid down by John Brown&Company, Clydebank, Scotland on 1 December 1911, launched on 10 September 1912, completed in November 1912, refitted in June 1916 and sold to be scrapped on 9 May 1921.
