Part of Indefatigable-class preceded by Invincible-class succeeded by Lion-class. Building ordered on 9 December 1909, laid don by John Brown&Company, Clydebank, Scotland with yard number 402 on 26 June 1910, launched on 25 October 1911, commissioned on 21 June 1913, decommissioned on 12 December 1921 and scuttled off Sydney Heads on 12 April 1924 as part of the limitation of capital ships under the Washington Naval Treaty.
