American admiral Sims inquired if there was any interest in Norway in obtaining American Ferris type 3500 cargo ships in 1918

An item referred to a cable telegram of Force Commander Wm.S. Sims(1) dated 3 December 1918 to Alusna, Christiania writing that the US Government might consider to offer some of her wooden ship Ferris type 3500 deadweight.(2) If this could be of some interest for Norway Simms’ advice was to make discreet inquiries and cable view to possible purchasers.
