An item reported that on 6 July the Estonian merchant ship Vapper, tonnage 4,548 tons, loaded with coal, underway from ... to Buenos Aires, Argentina was torpedoed 160 miles west south west of Land’s End. Not part of convoy. Of the crew was 1 man killed, 1 missing and 15 saved.
