An item reported that due to a mysterious fire at Revere, Massachusetts valuable plans and drawings of destroyers under construction for the US navy were destroyed. The local authorities suspected that the fire was a sabotage act although Washington refused to supply any details. Another newspaper Vlisisingse courant dated 2 January confirmed this item.
