USA lacking enough tankers according to the Dutch newspaper Dagblad van Rotterdam dated 14 July 1942

Minister Hull stated in Washington that the lacking of enough tankers became more and more a problem mainly in the territories which depended on tankers transport for the petrol needs. The government tried to treat the users in the USA and neighbours as much as possible in the same manner.(1)
