Dutch and German Greenland whalers fitted out according to the Dutch magazine Maandelyksche Nederlandsche Mercurius De Maandelyksche Nederlandsche Mercurius dated March 1766

This year were bound for Greenland 80 whalers of Amsterdam. 1 of Dordrecht, 5 of Rotterdam, 1 of Krimpen, 3 of Alkmaar, 3 of Hoorn, 1 of Monnikendam, 1 of Wieringerwaard, 20 of Zaandam, 2 of Oostzaan, 4 of Westzaan, 2 of Zaandijk, 1 of Wormerveer, 2 of De Koog, 2 of Jisp, 5 of De Ryp and 1 of Middelburg. Subtotally 134 Dutch ships, 21 of Hamburg, 2 of Altona and 5 of Bremen, totally 162 whalers that year.
