British hospital ship Warilda torpedoed according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated Tuesday 6 August 1918

An item reported that the British Admiralty announced that the hospital transport Warilda on the 3rd during her homeward bound voayage was torpedoed and sunk. On board were except for the crew 606 wounded and some nurses of which last Saturday more as 650 survivors were brought on land with another 123 still missing. Most of the survivors were dressed in nothing more as their night clothing and suffered badly. Two British destroyers which escorted her fired several depth charges.
