Uruguayan dredger build at Slikkerveer, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 18 September 1901

An item reported that on the 17th at the shipyard of the firm A.F. Smulders at Slikkerveer that immediately after a Chilean dredger was launched the keel was laid down of a huge seaworthy twin screw hopper dredger to serve in the harbour works of Montevideo. Another Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag dated 20 September confirmed this item.
