US naval bases Midway and Trinidad reopened according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuwsblad voor Sumatra dated 19 August 1950

An item reported that the US department of navy announced that the US naval bases Midway and Trinidad were reopened. Earlier were both bases closed to reduce expenses.
