The US coastal artillery school founded according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Army and Navy Journal which reported that in the USA a special school for the coastal artillery was founded. The purpose of this school was to increase the technical knowledge of officers and soldiers. At the same time it was seriously considered to transferred the coastal artillery from the department of war to the US navy and at the same time uniting the coastal artillery with the US marines.
