The US submarine building program according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1916-1917 no. 7

An item reported that excluded the 35 submarines already being built the US navy was authorized to built 9 fleet submarines, 3-800 ton ships for coast defence purposes and 27 smaller vessels and a submarine tender (depot ship). The intention was to built a 150 ton boat according to the Neff design. Of these ships were 12 to be built in the Pacific as soon as possible.
