According to the newspaper Amsterdamsche Courant dated 5 May was with success the frigate ship Oost-Indiën launched at the yard De Hoop, built by Jerm. Meijes en Zonen for account of J.P. Jannette Walen. Master would be G. Blom. The keel for a second frigate ship for the same account was laid down.
