1. Of the Omaha-class, preceded by the Chester-class and succeeded by the Brooklyn-class. Building ordered on 4 March 1917, awarded on 21 August 1917 with a supplementary contract dated 12 June 1919, laid down by Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corporation's Fore River Shipyard, Quincy, Massachusetts, USA on 10 November 1920, launched on 10 November 1920, completed on 1 November 1921, commissioned on 31 July 192, decommissioned on 11 January 1946, stricken on 21 January 1946 and sold to be broken up on 27 February 1946.
