Austrian Radetzky class battleships maximum 14.000 tons according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1906-1907 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Journal R.U.S.I. reporting that the Austrian admiral Montecuccoli (1) stated before the budget commission that the displacement of the new battleships [Radeztky-class] would be 14.000 ton.(2) This size was considered to be enough while the ships would operate within the Mediterranean area. With this new 3 ships numbered the Austrian navy totally 12 battleships. The ships although not so strong as were they also not weak compared with the 18.000 ton battleships of other naval powers.

2. Preceded by the Erzherzog Karl-class and succeeded by the Tegethoff-class consisting of the Radetzky, Erzherzog Frans Ferdinand and the Zrinyi with a displacement of 14.741 (standard)-16.099 (full load tons).
