Romania seized all Russian ships lying in Danube harbours according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 6 November 1915

An item dated Vienna, Austria 5th referred to the Südslav. Korr reported that that the local Romanian authorities were ordered by their cabinet to seized all Russian ships in the Romanian Danube harbours and to hoist the Romanian flag on board. In Turn Severn were all Russian ships on Tuesday morning seized and the Russian flag replaced by the Romanian. The Russian crews were shipped on land and transported to another yet unknown destination. At Gruja were the Russian steamships Triaspol, Turgenjei and Patriot and 5 lighters seized and their crews removed. The ships now flying Romanian colors were guarded by a Romanian patrol boat.
