An item reported that a commission appointed by the Portuguese cabinet adviced to reorganize the navy including the building of 3 battleships with a displacement of circa 19.000 tons, a speed of 21 knots and an armament of 30,5cm/12”guns, Furthermore were to be built 3-3.000 tons displacement cruisers with a speed of 22 knots and 12-890 tons destroyers with a speed of 30 knots. The program was to be realized in a series of years with a maximum budget of 204 million francs.
