The British naval budget 1911-1912 according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1911 No. 7

An item reported that under the British naval budget 1911-1912 an amount of 15.063.877 pound sterling against 13.279.830 under the budget 1910-1911 was available for new ship building. However 13.225.232 pound sterling was needed for the ships already under construction. The remaining 1.738.645 pound was to be used to start with the building of 5 large battleships, 3 protected cruisers, one unprotected cruiser, 20 destroyers, 6 submarines, 2 river gunboats, 1 mother ship for destroyers and one hospital ship.
