American whaler Reaper visited Payta, Peru according to the newspaper The Inquirer and Mirror dated Wednesday 1 January 1834

An item referred to a letter from Charles Higginson dated Payta [Peru] 15 September 1833 reported the visit at Payta on 6 August of the American whaler Reaper master Swain of Nantucket 10,5 months out 900 barrels oil.
