Diadem-class
An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies reported the arrival of the British cruiser 1st class Europa captain Horsley coming from Sydney, Australia. The edition dated 3 August reported her departure on 1 August towards Colombo, Ceylon.(1)

1. Part of the Diadem-class protected cruisers, preceded by Powerfull class, succeeded by Cressy-class. Laid down by J&G Thompson, Clydebank, Scotland on 10 January 1896, launched on 20 March 1897, completed on 23 November 1889, refitted in 1902 including replacing boilers, sold to G.G. Bletto on 15 September 1920, was to be converted into an emigrant carrier, sunk off Corsica in January 1921, afterwards salvaged and scrapped at Genoa, Italy.
