Italian submarine Rutenion cancelled in 1943

Of the Tritone-class or Flutto-class type II. Dimensions 64.19 x 6.98 x 4.93 metres a displacement of 928 (surfaced)-1.131 (submerged) tons. Crew numbered 49 men including 5 officers. Speed 16 (surfaced)-8 (submerged) knots. Range surfaced 5.400 nautical miles/8 knots respectively 2.000/16 and submerged 80 nautical miles/4 knots respectively 7/8. Armament 7-53,3cm/21” torpedo tubes (4 for, 2 aft), 1-10cm/4” cal 47 gun on the fore deck before the tower and 2x1-2cm anti aircraft guns. Diving depth 130 metres. To be built by CRDA, Monfalcone Italy but never laid down but building cancelled after the armistice between Italy and the Allies dated 3 September 1943.
