Japanese cargo ship (ex-Auguste 1900-1913) Nissei Maru 1913-1943

Similar Nissei Maru, Kiyo Maru, Nissin Maru No. 3 and Sakae Maru. Call sign JIFD. Launched by Anderson Rodger&Co., Bay yard, Port Glasgow, Scotland with yard number 347 on 2 March 1900 for the Unione Austriaca /Cosulich Line, Trieste and wrecked on 6 January 1943. Gross tonnage 2,876 tons, under deck 2,624 tons, netto tonnage 1,766 tons, deadweight 4,650 tons and as dimensions 320.2 x 46.1 x 21/3 x 7.2 (light)-20.8 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, horsepower 249 nhp, coal bunker capacity 665 tons, range nautical 6,500 miles/8 knots and speed 8 (normal cruising)-10 (maximum) knots.
