Portuguese passenger steam ship Carvalho Araujo arrived at Lisbon, Portugal with survivors of the Kabalo and Meggie in November 1940

In his letter dated Lisbon dated 16 November 1940 No. 930 to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine wrote the German Marineattaché Portugal that according to the newspapers Voz, Seculo, Diario de Manha, Diorio de Noticias and Diario de Losbo, Lisbon dated 10-11 November 1940 the Portuguese passenger steam ship Carvalho Araujo arrived on 10 November with 23 survivors of the sunk Belgian steamship Kabalo and 10 survivors of the sunk Swedish steamship Meggie. Both ships were sunk by submarines.
