Pennant 84. Part of Dido-class Dido-sub-class preceded by Arethusa-class succeeded by Fiji-class and were designed to replaced the C- and D-classes cruisers. Laid down by Alexander Stephen and Sons, Glasgow, Scotland on 6 October 1937, launched on 18 May 1939, commissioned on 25 March 1941,as part of Force A group escorting supply convoy MW-11 from Alexandria, Egypt towards Malta torpedoed by the German submarine U-205on 15 June 1942 sinking on 16 June 1942.
